This is a simple and straightforward offer from Air India for redemptions on Air India network across all classes: First, Business, Premium Economy, and Economy.
The discount however does not apply on Star Alliance partners. The discounted points requirement is already live for booking.

On a quick search I was also surprised to see not TWO but SIX business class award seats to Tokyo from Delhi, which is quite rare to come across.
Bottomline
Air India usually demands a high number of points on most routes, especially for premium cabins. But with the recent transfer bonus (March 2025) and the ongoing 25% redemption offer, the effective cost drops significantly, making it almost as good as redeeming on Singapore Airlines or Air Canada or even better for those who are double dipping with the previous 50% transfer bonus offer.
